Nyckelpigan, the ladybug. My mom used to call me ladybug when I was little. Now I've flown far from home. I am an American married to a Swede and living in Sweden. We have an apartment in a cooperative in southern Stockholm. I'm currently studying science and math at Stockholm University. My husband is a political aid in the Swedish parliament. Silfver av Bäckmisse, retiree, is our cat, who we lovingly refer to as Silly.
I started this journal for two reasons. The real reason I starting journaling online is so that my friends and family back home could follow what was happening in my life. The other reason, which I appreciate so much more now, is to be able to look back at my good and bad days and get some perspective on my life. Journaling has helped me define my feelings many times, as well as been an outlet for those feelings. (I warn potential readers that I do whine sometimes. And can be pretty sappy sometimes. Not always very rational. But honest)
Sometimes I journal alot, sometimes weeks or even months pass and I neglect my journal. Then I write an entire book in one entry. I try to be good and write shorter entries more often. Really, truly, I do. I don't check my grammar or spelling. My English is not quite what it used to be since I rarely ever speak it and only in my journal and emails write it. I choose not to see it. If I did I would never journal at all.

The weather where I'm at and where I'm from...

Stockholm and St. Louis
